englischThis volume uses historiographical and literary texts from the Pahlawī era (1921-1979) to examine discourses on heroised actors. Based on the observation that Iranian mythology prefigures historians' assumptions about history, the study traces the changing approaches of state-affiliated historians to their source material over the decades. An interplay can be observed between prefigurations and the changing requirements of the Pahlawī regime, which installed history as a supporting pillar of its identity and legitimisation policy. The diachronic approach allows fundamental observations on the construction of collective identities and the relationship between politics and history.
In diesem Band werden anhand historiographischer und literarischer Texte der Pahlawī-Ära (1921–1979) Diskurse über heroisierte Akteure untersucht. Ausgehend von der Beobachtung, dass die iranische Mythologie die Annahmen der Historiker über Geschichte präfiguriert, verfolgt die Studie die sich über Jahrzehnte hin verändernden Zugänge staatsnaher Historiker zu ihrem Quellenmaterial. Es lässt sich ein Wechselspiel zwischen den Präfigurationen und den sich verändernden Vorgaben des Pahlawī-Regimes beobachten, das Geschichte als tragende Säule seiner Identitäts- und Legitimationspolitik installierte. Der diachrone Ansatz ermöglicht grundsätzliche Beobachtungen zur Konstruktion kollektiver Identitäten sowie zum Verhältnis von Politik und Geschichtswissenschaften.
