Die Stimmung einer ausgelassenen (tobenden oder feiernden) Menge ist im pathischen Sinne dicht; ihre affektive Ladung merkt man ihr an. Sie ist mehr spürbar als sichtbar. Atmosphären und Stimmungen sind Gefühle, die als Medien nonverbaler Kommunikation fungieren – im persönlichen Bereich, in der Ökonomie und der Politik.
