englischThis study is intended to reveal new perspectives on the work of Ludwig Klages and, at the same time, to contribute to the prehistory of new phenomenology as one of the most important movements in contemporary philosophy. The book relates the basic problems of Klages’ philosophy to neo-phenomenological topoi (atmospheres, pathic perception, critique of reductionism, etc.) and interprets his texts with the necessary critical distance to avoid the idolisation or demonisation of Klages that otherwise characterises the reception of his work.

Der Band soll neue Perspektiven auf das Werk von Ludwig Klages eröffnen und gleichzeitig einen Beitrag zur Vorgeschichte der Neuen Phänomenologie als einer der wichtigsten Strömungen der Gegenwartsphilosophie leisten. Die Grundprobleme der Klages’schen Philosophie werden in Beziehung zu neuphänomenologischen Topoi gesetzt (Atmosphären, pathische Wahrnehmung, Kritik des Reduktionismus usw.). Die Interpretation Klages’scher Texte erfolgt mit der nötigen kritischen Distanz zu einer Klages-Vergötterung oder -Verteufelung, die sonst seine Rezeption charakterisiert.
