englischWhat do young people do with artificial intelligence, which AI tools do they use? Do young people know what algorithms are and where do they encounter them in their everyday media use? The social science multi-method study answers these questions. In group discussions, a partially standardised online diary study and a standardised online survey, algorithms and artificial intelligence are examined from the perspective of young users. The study addresses the knowledge, attitudes and usage strategies of young people with regard to algorithms and artificial intelligence, in particular with regard to their social media use, and develops media education recommendations for the education sector and parents.
