englischThe study answers the question of whether an end to German cannabis prohibition can be achieved on the basis of practical experience. For this purpose, the study evaluates the concrete effects of legalisation in the US states of Colorado and California as well as in Canada and examines which developments result with regard to consumption, risk perception, health protection, road traffic, criminality and economy. In a second step, concrete proposals for the implementation of the German cannabis legalisation are given. The work clearly demonstrates that an end to cannabis prohibition can be achieved, which represents immense progress for German criminal policy.
