Verhinderung und Verfolgung grenzüberschreitender Korruption haben in der unternehmensinternen und staatsanwaltschaftlichen Praxis seit einigen Jahren stark an Bedeutung gewonnen. Dabei sind die dem Verbot der Auslandsbestechung zugrunde liegenden Kriminalisierungskonzepte nicht geklärt, die einschlägigen Straftatbestände erst kürzlich reformiert worden und neuartige Präventionsstrategien umstritten.
Die Tagung hat sich dem Phänomen der Auslandsbestechung in einer umfassenden und interdisziplinären Weise gewidmet. Die rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen sind ebenso thematisiert worden wie kriminologische Zusammenhänge, Probleme transnationaler Ermittlungen und Compliance-Strategien.
