englischThe simplified juvenile procedure, codified in §§ 76 ff. JGG, introduced in 1943 and reestablished in 2008, accelerated the process used for juvenile adjudication in minor and moderate cases. Named after the district in Berlin where the procedure started experimentally in 2008, the Neuköllner Modell is based on an informal agreement between individual juvenile judges, prosecutors, youth court assistances and investigators.

Inès Ben Miled examines the simplified juvenile procedure and the Neuköllner Modell in order to illustrate commonalities and deviations between the model and the procedure according to §§ 76 ff. JGG.
