englischThe first part of the work considers the authorisations under public law to carry out medical procedures. This includes a critical examination of the practice of medicine in the emergency medical services, which is also crucial for other healthcare professions. The second part of the work then establishes a standard of liability and the application of the principles of medical liability law, in particular for emergency paramedics, based on the public-law duty of care. In order to determine the standard of liability, it is necessary to balance the significantly shorter training period than that required for medical professionals against the comparable responsibility for the patient.
