englischThis dissertation takes an in-depth look at the many different ways in which a budgetary right for the supervisory board, introduced into the debate on stock corporation law in 2011, could be structured and sheds light on its functional added value with a view to effective supervisory board activity. Based on the urgent need for the supervisory board to be as independent as possible from the executive board in terms of information and finances, a detailed proposal is developed for a budgetary right to be integrated into the German Stock Corporation Act de lege ferenda, which can make a decisive contribution to making supervisory board activities more effective. A topic that is more topical than ever in view of a corresponding legislative initiative.
