englischGlobal crises challenge the achievements of both domestic and international constitutionalism: To what extent do they lead to changes in the role of courts, politics and governance in and beyond the nation state? Is constitutional thought eroding in times of crises or can global crises also serve as a catalyst for a (new) constitutional order?

The contributions in this volume address these questions from an interdisciplinary perspective. They discuss dynamics in European constitutional law as well as specific challenges for democracy and the rule of law posed by recent crises. Moreover, they deal with crisis prevention and management in a constitutionalized international law.
