englischThe study delivers insight into civic involvement in the social field of schools. It is focused on a collegiate association, whose engagement with pupils will be highlighted. The basis of motivation of the students, the effects on pupils who attend the tutorials, the reciprocity of the involved parties and the frame conditions will be analyzed. The study has an explorative character and six problem-centered guided interviews shed light on the engagement from different points of view of three involved stakeholder groups. The study is interesting for everyone concerning themselves with civic involvement in the education field on a scientific or practical level.
The author holds a university diploma in sociology and researches the field of civic involvement and education at the University of Cologne’s chair of social policy and qualitative research methods.
Die Studie gibt Einblicke in das bürgerschaftliche Engagement im Sozialraum Schule. Der Fokus liegt auf einem studentischen Verein, dessen Arbeit mit Schüler_innen beleuchtet wird. Es werden Motivgrundlagen für das studentische Engagement aufgezeigt, Wirkungsdimensionen der Nachhilfetutorien auf die Schüler dargelegt, Gegenseitigkeitskomponenten der beteiligten Akteure offengelegt sowie die Rahmenbedingungen der Vereinsarbeit analysiert.
Die Studie ist explorativ, sechs leitfadengestützte problemzentrierte Interviews beleuchten das Engagement aus den Blickwinkeln von drei beteiligten Stakeholdergruppen. Interessant ist die Studie für alle, die sich auf wissenschaftlicher oder praktischer Ebene mit Ehrenamt im Bildungswesen beschäftigen. Die Autorin ist Diplom-Soziologin und erforscht an der Universität zu Köln an der Professur für Sozialpolitik und Methoden der qualitativen Sozialforschung das Schnittfeld Ehrenamt und Bildung.
