englischUntil now, the environmental compatibility of the expansion of renewable energy plants was primarily an issue of environmental law and only to a very small extent of subsidy law. However, developments in recent years show that environmental protection aspects are also becoming increasingly important for decisions in connection with public spending. Since its amendment in 2016, public procurement law in particular has taken various approaches to integrating environmental protection aspects into state-led market processes and may thus provide a template for similar market situations. This book deals with the question of whether such an approach would also be possible in the context of tenders under the EEG and WindSeeG.
