This propaedeutic study provides an introduction to the technical language of politics. It is not binding and cannot be. The language used to talk about politics is not a technical language reserved for academia. This makes it all the more important for those who wish to speak publicly about political events to consider in advance how terms should be used, especially if their use by others is to be questioned.
Interesse an einem Wissenschaftsgebiet setzt zumindest rudimentäre Kenntnisse seiner Fachsprache voraus, zumindest der Grundbegriffe, auf denen Urteilsbildung und Schlussfolgern beruhen. In die Fachsprache des Politischen führt diese Propädeutik ein. Sie ist nicht verbindlich und kann es auch gar nicht sein. Die Sprache, in der über Politik gesprochen wird, ist keine dem Wissenschaftsbetrieb vorbehaltene Fachsprache. Um so mehr bedarf es für jene, die sich öffentlich über das politische Geschehen äußern wollen, einer propädeutischen Vorüberlegung darüber, wie Begriffe anzuwenden sind, insbesondere dann, wenn die Anwendung bei anderen in Frage gestellt werden soll.
