englischCan and may there be lobbying against judges? This empirical and jurisprudential thesis offers an insight into the rarely examined issue of advocacy against the German judiciary. By means of qualitative data collection, possible and actual forms of judge-related lobbying are identified and subsequently examined from a constitutional law perspective: Is the independence of judges, in particular, an effective limit to the lobbying, which itself is part of fundamental rights? By taking into account procedural law literature and case law, the author opens up the scope for discussion and strives for an appropriate development of existing legislation.
