Using the communication and theoretically oriented model of revelation by the Egyptian Qur’an scholar Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd, she discusses the potential offered by the justifiability of theological anthropology from a revelation-based theological perspective and thus paves the way towards developing theological anthropology as a paradigm that goes far beyond the exegetical research of Muslim images of human beings.
Ausgehend von einer systematischen Aufarbeitung gegenwärtig gängiger Verständnisse von theologischer Anthropologie innerhalb der islambezogenen Forschung und deren Problematisierung im Lichte begriffs- und wissenschaftsgeschichtlicher Entwicklungen wagt sich Esma Isis-Arnautović an einen neuen Ansatz. Sie diskutiert anhand des kommunikationstheoretisch ausgerichteten Offenbarungsmodells des ägyptischen Koranwissenschaftlers Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd das Potential für die Begründbarkeit einer theologischen Anthropologie aus offenbarungstheologischer Perspektive und stellt damit die Weichen, theologische Anthropologie als Paradigma zu entwickeln, das weit über die exegetische Erforschung von muslimischen Menschenbildern hinausgeht.
