englischThe use of artificially intelligent systems increasingly poses legal challenges to members of the board. This study examines in particular the question of how the use of intelligent assistance and autonomous decision-making systems can affect the duties of board members. As a result, not only are there significant effects on individual board duties; in order to take sufficient account of digital progress, a further development of case law and an amendment of the law appear to be necessary. In addition, the still little-discussed question of the extent to which the use of virtual reality can have an impact on the duties of board members is examined.
