The question of what remains reveals a change of mood. In the case of Durs Grünbein, Kerstin Hensel and Lutz Seiler, three important variants are evident in their iconic images, which the author addresses. The cultural memory in the 'reverberation' is made clear in the turning point novels of Maxim Leo, Julia Franck and Bernhard Schlink as well as films by Petzold, Schwochow and Leander Haußmann.
